Webinar: Serving as Alongsiders in the Muslim World (15th Oct 2026)

Thursday 15th October 2026 – 13:00 BST

Anna T. will share what it means for outsider missionaries to serve Muslim people as ‘alongsiders’ in the Islamic world.

Webinar info

As Anna lived and served in the Muslim world with her family, it became clear that requiring a change of ‘religion’, or ‘conversion to Christianity’, was getting in the way of the good news. She will share her journey of how she and her husband developed the concept of alongsidering, as they explored different appropriate roles for those like themselves who came from outside to share the good news. They also developed the C-scale, which is a descriptive framework for understanding Christ-centered communities of faith and how they relate to the Muslim faith.

About the speaker

Anna has sensed Godโ€™s call to work among Muslims since she was 13 years old. She and her husband John lived with Muslims in their heartlands in Asia for 25 years, emphasizing inner healing prayer and relevant Scripture translation. She received an MA in Intercultural Studies from Fuller Seminary. She continues to advocate for Muslims who desire to follow Jesus while remaining for witness within the religious community of their birth, articulating their own indigenous theologies that are faithful to the Bible. Anna and John enjoy living near their children and grandchildren.
